What to Expect

Getting Started

First, we will speak on the phone to get an understanding of your situation and determine if I am a suitable therapist for you. If you feel comfortable moving forward, then we will schedule an initial session.

The initial session will last for 60 minutes during which we explore what has brought you to psychotherapy and what you would like to achieve from it.  I generally recommend beginning with a 45 minute weekly session for six weeks. At six weeks, we will reaccess goals and evaluate where we are at.  Skype and phone sessions are available as indicated.

Insurance Plans Accepted:

  • Cigna
  • Out of Network (You will be provided with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company)


Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?


Cash, check, credit card, paypal or venmo are accepted for payment at the end of each session.


Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
